North Caldwell, NJ – For more than a quarter of a century, the Gould School Battle of the Books has celebrated reading.

The recurring tournament at the North Caldwell school tests the literary knowledge of North Jersey 5th and 6th grade students from multiple districts, challenging students to read books they may not normally choose for themselves, according to a school newsletter.

During the 2016 competition – held earlier this month - the following students represented Gould School’s 6th grade class: Kathryn Klukowicz, Ben Ferrara, Michael Sperrazza, Charley Rich and Michael Sanchez.
