North Caldwell Students Win Poetry Contest Awards

More than 700 students participated in the event, representing 48 New Jersey middle and high schools.

Two West Essex High School students won first and third place awards in the 32nd Annual Foreign Language Poetry Recitation Contest, which took place on May 14 at William Paterson University.

Emi Brito Kirikhira won first place in Intermediate English as a Second Language, and Max Prince won third place for Advanced Latin.

Both are juniors from North Caldwell.
