Caldwell Public Library presents a new film series, Opera in the Afternoon, on summer Wednesdays at 1pm. Join us on August 13 for Orfeo ed Euridice, Gluck's operatic adaptation of the Orpheus myth: a greiving musician follows his beloved wife to Hades to try to bring her back from the dead. This opera was performed at the Glyndebourne Festival by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The opera features Elisabeth Speiser, Janet Baker and Elizabeth Gole and is directed by Peter Hall.
