PHOTOS: Going Bald In The Caldwells

Teachers and students shave their heads to fundraise for childhood cancer research.

The West Essex High School Chapter of the National Honor Society hosted a St. Baldrick’s fundraiser on June 15, raising more than $4,936 to benefit childhood cancer research.

During the fundraiser, 20 students, teachers and members of the surrounding communities had their heads shaved.

The society also hosted a bake sale and a pizza eating contest on the day of the fundraiser.

“I wanted to help out in any way that I could,” said Ryan Coia, a junior from Roseland who had his head shaved at the event.
