Price of Passports to Increase 47%
New fees of $110 for adults, $80 for minors take effect July 13.

The cost of obtaining a passport will increase by 47 percent later this month, Essex County Clerk Chris Durkin announced Friday.
According to Durkin, the U.S. government will raise the fee for adult passports from $75 to $110 and minor passports from $60 to $80. The prices will take effect on July 13.
