Readers Pick Best Spots to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Tight vote between nearby bars.

Readers had a tough time deciding the best spot in the area for celebrating St. Patrick's Day.

But, after a week-long vote, in Montclair garnered a first place win—but by only a few votes.

Accepting cash only, Tierney's has always wanted to be known as the place "where friends meet." The no-frills establishment turns out surprisingly excellent burgers and onion rings and offers a vast assortment of domestic and imported beer, wine, and liquor.

Coming in a very close second in our Patch poll was the in Caldwell. And not too far behind the Cloverleaf was in Verona.
