As students throughout the Caldwells endure the school photo ritual, some of their parents are getting an oft-wielded, catch-all consolation phrase ready in case of a picture day disaster.
“Don’t worry… We’ll take a better one next year.”
In the North Caldwell Public School District, students will be taking their photos throughout this week, school official stated in an email on Monday.

Gould School students will have their picture taken on Monday, October 5 or Tuesday, October 6. Grandview School students will have their picture taken Wednesday, October 7 or Thursday, October 8.
All Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st graders will have a full body shot, the district stated.

This year, the district stated that photos will be shot outdoors, or using green screen technology in case of inclement weather.
“Please do not dress in green or fluorescent clothing if pictures are taken indoors,” school officials stated.
