On Monday, the West Caldwell Police Department issued the following reminder:

“With Labor Day weekend coming to an end, it’s time for all of us to get ready for back to school time and the beginning of another school year. This means getting used to seeing heavier traffic and local children on foot during our morning and evening commutes. Please keep the safety of our children, parents and crossing guards in mind as you go about your travels. Drive slowly, be courteous and give yourself extra time for your commutes, especially around our schools and their surrounding streets. We know our local children are all excited to get back into their studies and our parents are sad they are not going to have them home all day. We wish all of our local students a safe school year.”
