Some In West Caldwell May Lose Water Pressure During Repairs: PD

There may be a temporary loss of water service for some West Caldwell residents and businesses for a day, authorities said.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — UPDATE: The work originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18 has been rescheduled to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The work will be completed at approximately 4:30am, barring any unforeseen issues, West Caldwell officials said. Our original article follows below with the new date.

There may be a temporary loss of water service for some West Caldwell residents and businesses on Tuesday, Feb. 18, authorities said.

The West Caldwell Police Department issued the following advisory last week:

“On Tuesday evening, Feb. 18 at 10 p.m., the water main on Ravine Avenue will be under repair. The work will be completed at approximately 4:30 a.m., barring any unforeseen issues. Residences and businesses in the area of Ravine Avenue and surrounding streets can expect a drop in water pressure and/or a loss of water service during that time. Residences and businesses experiencing water discoloration after the work is completed are asked to run cold water until the water is clear. We appreciate your patience while this necessary work is completed.”
