'Truth and Authenticity in News in a Digital Age' Topic of Media Panel
Panelists from Patch, Fox News, 1010 WINS and more to discuss subject on April 7.

Two members of Patch.com’s Essex County editorial team will be among the six panelists in “Truth and Authenticity in News in a Digital Age: The Challenges, The Opportunities.”
The panel discussion, sponsored by the Caldwell College Media Relations office and the Caldwell College Communication Arts Department, will take place on Thursday, April 7, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with coffee and networking from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
The panel of news and media professionals includes: Ken Hunter, immediate past president, NJ Chapter of the Public Relations Society of NJ and vice president of R&J Public Relations; Kelly Wright, general assignment reporter, anchor, America’s News Headquarters Weekend on the Fox News Channel; Eva Abreu, business columnist, Home News Tribune, Courier News, MyCentralJersey.com and founder, NJSocialMedia.com; Carol D’Auria, general assignment reporter, anchor 1010 WINS, Elizabeth Moore, Essex County Regional Editor, Patch.com and former Star-Ledger reporter; and Joshua Wilwohl, editor, West Orange Patch and author of All the News That Fits in Your Pocket.

The discussion will be moderated by Colette M. Liddy, director of media relations, Caldwell College, and Bob Mann, communication arts professor and host of Let’s Consider the Source, XM Public Radio.
Who should attend? All are welcome, especially journalists, communication, business and non-profit professionals, students interested in news and media relations, and anyone interested in the topic.

The event will take place in the Alumni Theatre, 120 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell. Caldwell students, faculty and staff are free. General admission is $10.
