W. Caldwell Fire Department Captures League Title
Team beats Just Jake's in final game to win its second Slo-Pitch championship.

The West Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department captured the West Caldwell-Caldwell Recreation Men's Slo-Pitch B League championship on Monday with a 15-8 win over Just Jake's at Memorial Park.
The fire department finished the regular season with a 9-2 record and went 4-1 during the double-elimination playoffs to win its second league championship.
The third-seeded fire department, which has been in the league for more than 20 years, defeated second-seeded Old School 10-7 in the opening game of the playoffs on July 26.

After losing to fourth-seeded Just Jake's 15-8 in the second game, the fire department beat top-seeded Dunder Mifflin 10-4 followed by back-to-back victories over Just Jake's by scores of 9-8 and 15-8.
The fire department team is comprised of Mike Pirrello, Paul Gorski, Karl Otterbein, Mark Poli, Tom King, Erik Otterbein, Dave Jedele, Rob Hebrank, Bob Brenneck, Mike Luker, Jared Fout, Tom Bradley, Tom O'Hern, Phil Camporeale, Danny Pierrez and Jon McNamara.
