NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — A water main break in North Caldwell will cause a temporary shutdown of service until repairs are complete, municipal officials announced Tuesday.
The Borough of North Caldwell issued the following advisory at 12:36 p.m.:
“The Department of Public Works will be repairing a water main break in the area of 16 East Greenbrook Road this afternoon/evening. Water will be shut off for a portion of the repair. There will be no vehicular access on East Greenbrook from Farmstead to Evergreen. Residents living in the affected area can access their homes from Central Ave only. Water service should be restored within a few hours.”
Impacted residents should expect discoloration once the water service has restored. They should run their faucets until the water runs clear, officials said.
