West Caldwell Democratic Committee Wants You
Township Dems seeking candidates for council for November General Election.

The West Caldwell Democratic Screening Committee is conducting a search for residents to run for township council in the General Election this November.
There will be two three-year terms up for grabs.
Residents who are registered Democrats and interested in serving on the council are encouraged to send resumes and cover letters explaining why they should be nominated. Deadline for submission is March 1, 2012. Resumes should be sent to: Democratic Screening Committee, 2 Gymoty Road, West Caldwell, NJ 07006 or emailed to westcaldwelldemocrats@comcast.net.

Registered Republicans and Independents are also encouraged to submit their resumes, according to a release from the West Caldwell Democratic Committee. A change in party affiliation, however, would be required, if selected.
Selected Democratic candidates will run in the June Democratic primary.

“The West Caldwell Democratic organization continues to make great strides in increasing citizen participation in the political process," Alexander Trento, Democratic Committee Chairperson, stated in a release. "The recent election of West Caldwell resident, , as Essex County District 4 Freeholder, has generated a great deal of enthusiasm and participation in local Democratic politics.”
Trento further stated, “We encourage residents of all ages, regardless of experiences that want to make a difference to submit their resumes for consideration.”
