In West Caldwell: Harrison School Students Create Gingerbread Playhouse

With some glue, cardboard and math, these Caldwell area students built a gingerbread house.

Students in Sheree Siegel’s kindergarten class at Harrison School in West Caldwell recently created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, building and decorating their own gingerbread play house using cardboard, tape, paint and glue.

Oh, and math, too.

“The gingerbread house is a great way to use fine motor skills and promote teamwork, while creating something that everyone can enjoy for months to come,” said Siegel. “We had fun learning and building, and now we get to have fun using it.”
