West Caldwell To Host 'Meet The Mayors Breakfast' 2016: Free Public Event

6 chambers of commerce in Essex County will join forces to host the annual public event on April 2.

West Caldwell, NJ - Six local chambers of commerce - including Millburn-Short Hills, North Essex, West Orange, Maplewood, South Orange, and Livingston - will join the League of Women Voters of the Montclair area and the New Jersey State League of Municipalities to host their annual “Meet the Mayors” Breakfast on Saturday, April 2.

The event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m., at Crane’s Mill, 459 Passaic Avenue in West Caldwell.

The snow date is April 16, event organizers stated in a news release.

According to organizers, mayors from all 22 communities within Essex County and Little Falls and Clifton have been invited to attend the public event.

West Caldwell Mayor Joseph Tempesta Jr. – the newly elected president of the NJ State League of Municipalities - will moderate the panel of local leaders, who will address topics including: COAH (Council on Affordable Housing), the Transportation Trust Fund and health care/pension benefit reform.

“We are proud to continue our support for this important forum that allows state and local representatives to communicate with each other and the public,” William Edge of the League of Women Voters of the Montclair Area stated.
