Registration underway for fourth season of West Caldwell Environmental Commission's Community Garden.

The West Caldwell Environmental Commission is once again conducting a Community Garden program on the grounds of the Crane House at 289 Westville Ave.

The parcel of land, which is located on the east side of the property, has been divided into 30 10’ by 15’ plots.

The community garden program, in which residents rent a piece of land to grow their own vegetables, is moving into its fourth year.

A number of gardeners who have been in the program during the past several years have already renewed their rentals for the 2013 growing season. There are, however, plots available on a first-come, first-served basis at a cost of $50 per plot to cover water, mulch and other related items that are provided.

Anyone interested in securing a plot may contact West Caldwell Town Hall at 973-226-2300 by Monday, April 15. Residents from neighboring towns are welcome to apply.
