West Caldwell: Kirkpatrick Lane Construction Will Continue Until May 6

If you’ve been avoiding Kirkpatrick Lane in West Caldwell over the past few weeks, keep those detours programmed into your GPS.

Construction and utility repairs on the roadway – which began on Wednesday, April 22 – is now expected to last until at least Wednesday, May 6.

Police originally estimated that the work would be completed around Monday, April 27.

According to a Nixle alert from the West Caldwell Police Department sent on Wednesday, the work will affect Kirkpatrick Lane between Bloomfield and Passaic Avenues, which will remain closed to all traffic.

Police are advising commuters to use Passaic Avenue as an alternate route, and to expect some traffic delays when travelling eastbound in the area of Kirkpatrick Lane.
