Sandra Grossman was an award-winning artist and former board member of the Friends of the West Caldwell Library.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — The West Caldwell Public Library will host an unveiling ceremony and reception in honor of Sandra Grossman, an award-winning artist and former board member of the Friends of the Library, on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. in the library's newly refurbished "Teen Space."
According to a library news release, Grossman, who passed away on March 29, 2015, was an important and active member of the West Caldwell community for 55 years. Upon her passing, donations were made to the Friends of the West Caldwell Public Library in her memory. These funds were recently used to partially support the purchase of new furniture for the Teen Space, revitalizing the area and providing a comfortable environment for students of all backgrounds to socialize, grow and learn outside of the classroom. The Teen Space will also be equipped with Pi stations that were built with tools provided by funding from the University Women of West Essex.
Sandra Grossman’s daughters Robin, Lynne and Laurie have donated one of their mother’s award-winning paintings to the library, which will be unveiled during the reception and put on permanent display in the Teen Space, library staff stated.
