West Caldwell Police Sergeant Graduates FBI National Academy

West Caldwell Police Detective Sgt. Shaun O’Dowd graduated on June 14 from the Federal Bureau of Investigations' National Academy in Quantico, Va.

The National Academy is a 10-week leadership and management training program, which is hosted by the FBI. Less than 1 percent of all law enforcement are invited to attend this prestigious training school.

The graduating class consisted of law enforcement professionals from 48 states, 24 international countries and 3 branches of military.

Instructors from several government agencies offered advanced instruction to the graduates in subject areas ranging from leadership to homicide forensics.

FBI Director Robert Mueller was the principal speaker at the ceremony.
