West Caldwell Sees 2nd Water Main Break In 2 Days

Residents in the area may experience low water pressure and "discoloration," West Caldwell authorities said.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Another water main break hit West Caldwell on Tuesday morning, a day after a break caused havoc for local traffic on Bloomfield Avenue.

Tuesday’s break took place at Park Avenue and Sylvan Way, the West Caldwell Police Department reported at 5:27 a.m. Park Avenue was closed between Sylvan Way and Nutting Place. Police advised local commuters to use an alternate route.

Authorities also said that residents in the area may experience low water pressure and “discoloration.” The municipal department of public works is in the process of fixing the issue, officials said.
