West Caldwell Teen Drove With Twin On Car Hood, Crashed: ECPO
A West Caldwell teen seriously injured his twin brother during an "intoxicated" car crash, prosecutors alleged.
WEST CALDWELL, NJ — A West Caldwell teen has been accused of seriously injuring his twin brother during a recent car crash, authorities announced Tuesday.
Anthony Dattoli, 18, of West Caldwell, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, vehicular aggravated assault while intoxicated in a school zone, leaving the scene of an accident, and endangering an injured victim, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the West Caldwell Police Department.
“It is alleged that on June 27, Dattoli was intoxicated and drove with his twin brother on the hood of his vehicle, ultimately crashing into a tree and leaving his brother with life-altering injuries,” prosecutors stated.

Dattoli surrendered to law enforcement with his attorney on Monday. He is currently being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, authorities said.
