West Caldwell Youth Sells Art to Raise Money for Medical Needs

"Funds for Friends" will benefit two local children.

Sophia Pedrazzi, a nine-year old from West Caldwell, will host her 4th annual “Funds for Friends Sale” to benefit two children with severe medical needs.

This year’s sale will feature Pedrazzi’s artwork, as well as new and used toys, and is scheduled for June 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 90 Ravine Ave., in West Caldwell.

According to a release, Pedrazzi, a third-grader at Washington School, is determined to make a difference in the lives of two friends with severe medical needs.

The two children the sale benefits are Rafaella Kopelan and Owen Wevodau.

According to a release, Kopelan has Epidermolysis Bullosa, and half of the sales go to debra.org to help fund research for a cure.

The other half goes to Wevodau’s family to help fund medical expenses.
