Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation Announces Family Movie Series. Despicable Me 2 is featured Saturday, 11/15 at Caldwell Community Center.

The Family Movie Series kicks off this Saturday, November 15, at 6:30pm, with Despicable Me 2, at the Caldwell Community Center.

The Family Movie Series is hosted by the Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation and will feature Despicable Me 2 this Saturday, November 15, 6:30pm, at the Caldwell Community Center, Bloomfield Av, Caldwell, NJ. Movies will be shown on a state-of-the-art 20 ft. inflatable screen and a second screen will be set up for Xbox video game play. Refreshments and snacks will be available. The suggested donation is $5 per person/$20 per family. All proceeds directly benefit the CWC schools. Tickets can be reserved now and space is limited. Please bring a blanket or chair. 

The Family Movie Series features a collection of family favorites that are scheduled for Saturday evenings in November 2014, as well as January, February and April 2015 at the Caldwell Community Center. As the weather warms up, the CWCEF will consider hosting outdoor drive-in style movies. The events begin at 6:30pm and end at approximately 9:00pm. Families, friends and neighbors are welcome. Please remember a blanket or chair.

Gru, his adorable girls, and the Minions are back in this Academy-Award nominated comedy, Despicable Me 2. This time, super dad, Gru, finds himself balancing fatherhood with his secret role in the Anti-Villain League. The film stars Steve Carell and Kristin Wiig, and is rated PG. Separate video game play will be available on an Xbox system and projected onto an 8 ft. screen. Kids should bring their favorite, age appropriate games to play.

Caldwell-West Caldwell Education Foundation (CWCEF) president, MaryAnn Campion, is looking forward to launching the new series: “The CWCEF looks for win-win opportunities and the Family Movie Series provides our community and families with fun, safe entertainment, while supporting our schools.” MaryAnn Lubanski, CWCEF Board Member and event organizer,  agrees: “We considered a variety of venues and decided the movie series was an ideal way to bring families together so parents and kids can spend quality time together, reconnect with old friends, and make some new ones, all while raising funds for a great cause.”
