West Essex Art Association October 8th Meeting
The West Essex Art Association is pleased to announce our monthly meeting now featuring a demonstration by noted artist, Donna Conklin King,
Join us on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 7:30-9:30PM at Crane’s Mill Town Square, 459 Passaic Ave., West Caldwell, NJ in the Activity Room for coffee and the demonstration.

Donna Conklin King’s Dress Print Drawings incorporate both Drawing and Printmaking. Using a thrift store dress from the 70’s (bride’s maid dress or prom dress), Conklin King rolls the dress up with charcoal based ink and print the image onto Strathmore Bristol Paper, creating a Monotype. She then works into the Monotype with Charcoal, Eraser, Graphite, Pastel, collage and Gold or Silver Leaf, introducing new imagery often emphasizing aspects of the dress print.
