West Essex HS Band Gets Silver Rating, Symphonic Winds Get Gold
It was silver and gold for performers with the West Essex High School Concert Band and the Symphonic Winds.
NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — It was silver and gold for performers with the West Essex High School Concert Band and the Symphonic Winds at the NJSMA Region 1 Concert Band Festival, held earlier this month.
According to a school news release, the West Essex High School Concert Band received a “Silver Rating” and The Symphonic Winds received a “Gold Rating” after their performance at the festival, which involved 35 New Jersey high school bands who competed over four days.
This is the second year in a row that the Symphonic Winds have received a Gold rating, school administrators said.
