West Essex Middle School Band Gets 'Gold' Rating
The New Jersey School Music Association honors Caldwell area student musicians.
The West Essex Middle School Band received a gold rating at the New Jersey School Music Association - NJSMA Region I Middle School Concert Band Festival.
The event, which was held at Westwood Junior/Senior High School, featured performances by middle school bands from across northern New Jersey.
This is the second year in a row that the West Essex Middle School Concert Band has received a gold rating at the event, stated Rick Fitzke, director of WEMS Bands.

The band will compete at another competition on May 15 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
