West Essex Middle School Students Create Zen Artwork
The lunchtime study activity helps students to relax and recharge, librarian says.
As relaxing music played in the background, West Essex Middle School students used colorful magic markers to create beautiful zen works of art during a recent program in the school library.
Librarian Catherine Spinella said she came up with the idea for the lunch study activity and students enjoyed it so much that she made it a regular activity.
“It’s clear from the overwhelming positive response to zen coloring that it’s a fun, relaxing, and creative activity that enables students to relax and recharge in the middle of their very busy, active lives,” Spinella stated in a release.
