West Essex Regional School Worker Earns Award: Marion McGuiness
Marion McGuiness was selected from a pool of 150+ administrative assistants. She's been with the West Essex Regional District since 2001.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — An administrative assistant and role model in the West Essex Regional School District recently earned a well-deserved kudos for her contributions to the community.
According to district officials, Marion McGuiness was honored with the North Section I Administrative Assistant Award at the Directors of Athletics Association of New Jersey's Convention last month in Atlantic City.
McGuiness was selected from a pool of over 150 administrative assistants. She’s worked in the West Essex Regional District since 2001, and has lent aid to four different athletic directors: Tom Pengitore, Bob Storm, Damion Maciocci and Anthony Minnella.

Minnella said that he feels especially lucky to have McGuiness as his assistant, and that she was the one who “taught him the ropes” when he took the reins as athletic director.
“I can’t express how lucky I am to have Marion as my partner/administrative assistant,” Minnella said. “Her dedication and reliability are attributes seldom found in employees. She proves herself every day.”

According to district officials:
“Marion possesses a personality that is warm and approachable. She is dedicated to our students and our school. Marion works countless hours ensuring that the student athletes benefit from all of the programs available at West Essex. She is responsible for running high school and middle school sports. Some of her duties include confirming all games, officials, and transportation, processing registration for all athletes, and collecting activity fees.”
