Winter Snowstorm Hits Caldwells: Parking, Shoveling, Schools
Here's how the winter snowstorm is impacting the Caldwells on Monday.
CALDWELLS, NJ — A day after Gov. Phil Murphy declared a snow-related state of emergency in New Jersey, the ugly weather continues to impact the Caldwells.

All Caldwell and West Caldwell schools operated on a 90-minute delay for Monday, March 4.
Caldwell University was closed on Monday, March 4 due to the weather. All day and evening classes and activities were canceled, administrators reported.

Garbage collection scheduled for Monday was canceled because of the snow and will be picked up on Thursday, March 7, officials said.
NORTH CALDWELL
The North Caldwell Public School District saw a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, March 4 due to the “forecasted inclement weather,” administrators said.
“Please have children to school by 10:30 a.m.,” North Caldwell school officials wrote.
North Caldwell police issued the following advisory at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3:
“Overnight on Street parking will be prohibited on all Borough roadways for March 1st and 2nd due to the expected snowfall in our area. Roadways will need to be cleaned and must be clear of any vehicles. No overnight permission will be granted. Also all residents & business/property owners are reminded to remove any and all snow/ice from their properties within 24 hours after the snow has ceased falling or the ice has formed thereon in accordance with B.O. 88-20.”
WEST CALDWELL
The West Caldwell Town Hall and library will open at 10:30 a.m.
There will be no garbage or recycling pick-up on Monday, March 4, officials stated.
