Women Caught Allegedly Camping Out in W. Caldwell
Town resident and friend found on water department property near Francisco Park.
A West Caldwell resident and her friend were caught allegedly camping out on town property last week, West Caldwell Police Chief Michael Bramhall said.
Angelica Lambert, 22, of West Caldwell, and Alicia Sobieski, 19, of Sparta, allegedly spent the night in a tent on the McKinley Avenue property of the West Caldwell Water Department, adjacent to Francisco Park, Bramhall said.
A representative of the water department noticed the tent when he arrived at the property and notified police Monday morning at approximately 8:20 a.m.

Officer Ed Bierals, who handled the investigation, stated in his report that neither of the women had identification on them, Bramhall said.
When conducting a background verification, Bierals discovered that Lambert had an outstanding warrant with the Essex County Sheriff's Department, Bramhall said.

Lambert was arrested and later released to the Sheriff's Department Monday afternoon, Bramhall said.
There were no criminal charges filed against the women for allegedly spending the night on town property, Bramhall said. The tent consisted of basic necessities, like water and clothing, Bramhall said.
"If it's not obvious, you can't camp on the property," Bramhall said. "There was nothing to suggest that it was more than one night."
Bramhall said to residents of the town's presidential section, "if they don't see the tent anymore, they are not to worry about it."
