The best (N.J.) beers: Brewers Guild selects 2026 honorees (binje.com) — Cape May beer fans can toast several big wins, as Cape May Brewing Co. earned multiple medals at the 2026 New Jersey Brewers Cup, including honors for Cape May IPA, Hazy Dawn, and Oktoberfest. The statewide competition drew more than 50 breweries and 245 entries, showcasing how prominently Cape May’s craft beer scene now ranks across New Jersey.

4. Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Cape May Co. Shooting: Officials (patch.com) — Law enforcement in Cape May County charged a 20-year-old Villas resident with attempted murder and related offenses after gunshots were reported near the Mulligan Sports Complex in Lower Township on Aug. 29. No one was injured, the suspect was arrested without incident, and officials say there’s no ongoing public threat while they continue to seek additional information from residents.
