This year there are three candidates running for two slots in the Democratic primary for Chatham Borough Council. I urge you to support Sophia Hull and Nicholas Eck.
I had the opportunity to meet Sophia Hull recently after learning that she was running for Chatham Borough Council. I was curious to get to know her, and I’m so glad I did.
A Chatham High School graduate, she has chosen to return to her home as an adult and immediately began to give back to the community. Her professional background as an environmental city planner, combined with her roles as Chair of the Shade Tree Commission and member of the Planning Board, make her an outstanding candidate. Beyond her impressive resume, what stood out most was her authenticity and genuine commitment to the community.
I have personally known Nicholas Eck since our sons were in karate together at the Madison Y. Nick has a tremendous sense of community and a long history of volunteering. Serving with him on the Environmental Commission, I’ve seen firsthand his dedication to ensuring environmental issues remain a priority for Chatham Borough.
Chatham deserves council members who demonstrate deep dedication, integrity, and a willingness to listen respectfully to all residents. Sophia and Nick embody those qualities.
Please join me in voting for Sophia Hull and Nicholas Eck on June 2nd.
