MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A pedestrian was seriously injured in Morris County this week after being struck by a car.
On Tuesday, around 12:15 p.m., police were called to the intersection of North Passaic and Weston avenues in Chatham on reports of a collision.
Authorities discovered that a 69-year-old pedestrian had been hit while walking in the north side crosswalk traveling westbound, police said.
The pedestrian was treated by first responders on the scene before being rushed to Morristown Medical Center for serious, but non-fatal injuries, according to police.
The incident is still under investigation by the Chatham Borough Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, and no criminal charges have been announced as of Wednesday morning.
