• Chatham Borough To Host Encore Of Critically Acclaimed 'What the Constitution Means To Me' (patch.com) — Chatham residents can look forward to two July encore performances of Pioneer Productions’ acclaimed play What the Constitution Means to Me, presented with the Chatham Borough Department of Community Services. The shows, part of the borough’s semiquincentennial celebration, aim to spark conversations about democracy and civic engagement while showcasing a locally based nonprofit theatre company.    

• Carrying a chip on his shoulder from winter track, N.J. track star wins 1600 at Meet of Champions (nj.com subscription) — Chatham senior distance runner Marcus Valenzuela placed third in a thrilling 1600-meter showdown at the NJSIAA Meet of Champions, clocking 4:08.95. He battled Union Catholic’s Elijah McCoy down the final lap, with McCoy surging ahead for the win in a personal-best 4:08.26. The race featured three of New Jersey’s top milers finishing within a second of each other.
