CHATHAMS, NJ — Residents can join the mayors of both Chathams for a pair of morning walks this summer, starting Saturday at the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge.
Chatham Borough Mayor Carolyn Dempsey and Chatham Township Mayor Jen Rowland will lead the Walk with the Mayors events, sponsored by the Mayors Wellness Campaign Advisory Committee of the Chathams.
The first walk begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, at the Great Swamp Wildlife Refuge. Participants should meet at the Great Swamp Education Center off Southern Boulevard. The rain date is Sunday.
A second walk follows at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 11, along the Shepard Kollock Historic Riverside Trail. Walkers should meet in the Shepard Kollock Park parking lot, with a rain date of Sunday, July 12.
