CHATHAM, NJ — The Chatham Borough Department of Public Works will conduct its final curbside brush collection next week.
Crews will continue storm cleanup efforts on Monday, July 13.
Residents are asked to place all brush at the curb by Sunday evening, July 12. Once collection crews complete their route, they will not return for additional pickups.
The department reminds residents that only branches 4 inches in diameter or smaller will be collected. Brush should be stacked neatly along the utility strip between the sidewalk and curb, or along the curb where no sidewalk exists.
Residents are also asked not to place brush in the roadway, as it creates traffic hazards and can obstruct storm drainage.
In addition, the Chatham Borough Mulch Depot has resumed its regular operating schedule. The depot is now open Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
