Leaves must be placed near the curb, no more than five feet from the roadway. They cannot be raked into the street or placed within 10 feet of a storm sewer inlet.

The borough warns that tickets will be issued on first occurrences.

Residents should also keep dirt, rocks, branches and tree limbs out of leaf piles.

The final vacuum collection is Nov. 30, followed by paper leaf bag pickups on Dec. 8 and 15.

For questions, residents can contact Tony Torello, director of public works, at publicworks@chathamborough.org.
