Proceeds to benefit the Madison Area YMCA Annul Fund that provides financial assistance

The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey and the Madison Area YMCA present PhilanthrOPERA: A Musical Celebration of Philanthropy at Grace Episcopal Church in Madison on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A reception will follow.

Opera and Broadway arias and duets from The Magic Flute, La Traviata, Lakmé, Tosca, West Side Story and Carousel will delight the audience. The evening will feature Metropolitan Opera Principal Baritone Mark Delavan, Metropolitan Opera Chorus Tenors Gary Pate and Marc Persing, Professional Opera Sopranos Valerie Bernhardt and Lorraine Ernest, Broadway Tenor Tom Sellwood and Conductor Robert W. Butts.

All ticket proceeds from PhilanthrOPERA will benefit the Madison Area YMCA’s Annual Fund, which supports families and individuals in our community. Donations help ensure that programs including the Madison Area YMCA’s School of Performing Arts, health and wellness programming and childcare and education at the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center of the Madison Area YMCA are accessible to every member in our community, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Madison Area YMCA is a 501c3 cause-driven charitable organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
