Barstool’s David Portnoy Reviews Popular Chatham Pizza Joint

CHATHAM, NJ — David Portnoy, otherwise known as “El Presidente” of Barstool Sports, stopped into Chatham recently to conduct another iteration of his pizza reviews.

This time Portnoy visited Bucky's Pizza located at 465 Main Street.

For years, the internet icon has been stopping into pizzerias across the country and ranking their pies on a scale of one through ten. His appearances and scores have increased (and sometimes decreased) the popularity of pizza joints across the U.S.

Here's how Bucky's Pizza fared.

Portnoy called the backstory of Bucky's Pizza, "a real good American Dream story" and highlighted their use of sourdough and real ingredients.

"The pizza looks… I would say ‘spectacular'. That is a great-looking pizza.”

Portnoy also pointed out that the crust had "zero flop".

"Look at that undercarriage. Right up my alley," he added.

Portnoy gave Bucky's an 8. 5 rating calling the pizza ‘spectacular'.

"This is really great, good as I had in a long time."

“This is everything I like: no flop, crunch, great taste.”

For context, the only 10/10 perfect score Portnoy ever gave was Monty's Pizza in Lynn, Massachusetts. The second-highest was given to another Garden State spot, DeLucia's Brick Oven in Raritan, which earned a 9.4/10.

Bucky's Pizza is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
