Held as part of the monthly Show Us Your Shorts showcase, this month’s event will include a premiere screening of the official preview for Back Up, the newest original film from award winning filmmaker Brian Mortensen and Mortenveld Productions.
Back Up is a unique mystery thriller told across three intersecting timelines: one moving forward, one moving in reverse, and one frozen in time. The story follows investigators racing to solve a murder in a quiet community where the only way to uncover the truth is to back up.
Show Us Your Shorts is a monthly gathering that celebrates short films, local filmmakers, and creative storytelling in a welcoming community setting. 
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the showcase experience while being among the very first to see what’s coming next from the team behind award winning productions including Company and My Roommate Dan.

Contra is the perfect social dance for new dancers. The beginners’ lesson at the start is all you need to enjoy your first evening of dancing. Contra dancing is a fun, easy-to-learn style of social dance in a supportive, inter-generational, inclusive community. It’s the cool cousin to square dancing—with hot live bands. A hot band is exactly what we have for this dance with The Star Charters playing amazing tunes with Luke Donforth&nbsp;calling.
If you are new to contra dancing, come for our evening dance on any first and third Saturday evening. Knowing how to dance is not necessary since the caller prompts the moves and guides the dancers. A lesson is given at 7pm prior to the dance to learn basic terminology and some of the dance moves. It’s fine to come alone since folks switch partners between each dance.

Join Maestro George Marriner Maull and The Discovery Orchestra as they uncover what makes this masterpiece so timeless—and why it continues to thrill us a century after its debut.
