General Robert Erskine: Mapmaker and Minemaster of the American Revolution
Robert Erskine, originally from Scotland, emerged as one of England’s most significant inventors. As the American Revolution threatened, he traveled to America to manage a struggling iron mine in Ringwood, New Jersey. Join us to discover how this British businessman shifted from being King George's loyal subject to an ardent patriot for the Revolution and General Washington's master mapmaker.
William "Billy" Neumann is a New Jersey Historian and a Certified Historic Preservationist. He has authored three local history books and is a full time professional photographer. He is currently researching and capturing images to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America's War of Independence.
