Car Stolen From Chatham Neighborhood, Police Say
According to police, the vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Tuesday night.
CHATHAM, NJ — Members of the Chatham Township Police Department issued a public safety alert following a vehicle theft in the township Tuesday night.
According to the police, the vehicle was stolen from the resident's driveway on Longwood Avenue.
Police are urging residents to remain vigilant in the fight against motor vehicle theft by locking their car doors, removing key fobs and garage door openers from their vehicles and locking their house doors.

Chatham Township Mayor Ashley Felice spoke at a previous council meeting about the increase in vehicle theft in the area, claiming that the council has been working with police to help put an end to the problem.
Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill also stated that she was seeking federal funds for the district in order to improve the district's ability to alert Chatham Township Police of stolen vehicles within the township using License Plate Readers in real-time.
