Chatham Basement Catches Fire As Snowstorm Starts

CHATHAM, NJ— During the early morning hours of a storm, fire companies from multiple towns responded to a basement fire at a home in Chatham Borough.

The fire was around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. A full crew was already at the Chatham Borough Fire station preparing for the storm; firefighters from Chatham Township and Madison also responded.

Firefighters were at the single family home for about an hour and a half and the fire was extinguished.
