ROCKAWAY — Despite a tough 7-0 loss to Morris Hills High School on Tuesday evening, senior Alex Monks provided a bright spot for the Chatham Cougars' bowling team.
Monks, who holds a 140 average this season, was a new man on the lanes as he bowled three games over 200 for a 608 series.
"Alex Monks bowled extremely well," Head Coach Craig Swartz said. "He practiced on Sunday night, told me he had a good series over 600 and shot over 600 again today. It was a very nice series. The hard work paid off."

"Today was a tough day in that we didn't bowl badly but they bowled well," Swartz said.
