Chatham Celebrates Earth Day Online
Earth Day's 50th Anniversary will be celebrated, remotely.
CHATHAM, NJ - The first Earth Day celebration on April 22 1970 brought together environmental activists demanding cleaner water, air and soil and not much has changed.
While we are on our COVID 19 induced “pause” officials said they are still finding ways to celebrate our earth and protect our environment.
"While we cannot gather together in public, we can gather together in spirit," the Chatham Borough Environmental Commission said in a statement. " We are asking the public to keep a diary during Earth Week, through Saturday, April 25 and share the actions you are taking to protect and preserve our shared spaces."
