CHATHAM, NJ - He served Chatham Township for many years a volunteer firefighter, served his country as a member of the Marines, and now James Soccadato will be serving the people of Allentown, Pa. as the newest member of their fire department.

According to officials, Soccodato completed the Allentown fire academy and was officially sworn in as one of Allentown's newest firefighters. The Chatham Township Fire Department noted that Soccadato had been one of our most active firefighters during his tenure in Chatham as a junior firefighter, firefighter, and most recently as an officer.

"James joins an ever growing number of individuals here who have been hired as career members of fire and police organizations," the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department said in a release. "The CTVFD is proud to have been a starting point for this monumental achievement, and we wish you a safe and long career with the City of Allentown."
