Chatham Firefighters Fight 'Live Burn'

CHATHAM, NJ - Over the weekend, the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department participated in a live burn training at the Morris County Fire Academy.

The training tests the department's tactics against real fire conditions, which allows for refining. The CTVFD conducts live burn training multiple times throughout the year so they can continuously refine their techniques.

Officials said training like this enables them to provide the highest level of service to the residents of Chatham Township and their mutual aid partners.

Those interested in joining can email membership@ctfd.org to start the application process. No prior experience is necessary.
