Dan Tracy was also charged with making terroristic threats and possession, police said.
CHATHAM, NJ - A 55-year-old Chatham Borough man was arrested and charged with possession, resisting arrest and making terroristic threats after an altercation with police on June 2, according to the Chatham Borough Police Department.
According to authorities, at 3:45 a.m. Sgt. Daniel Walsh arrested Dan Tracy and charged him with terroristic threats, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Walsh and Officer Andrew Pereira responded to a Chatham Borough address to investigate a verbal dispute. While investigating the complaint, Tracy became upset and angry about the presence of the police and started to threaten them, police said.
Tracy continued to threaten and make verbally abusive statements at the officers, so he was placed under arrest, police said. When the officers took him into custody, Tracy physically resisted and continued to act out, police said. During the search, officers discovered a hollowed out metal pipe. When asked about the item, Tracy told the officer that he uses it for his drugs, police said.
