Chatham Restaurant Earns AAA Four Diamond Rating

CHATHAM, NJ — Since 1999 when Y2K was the concern of computer owners, Chatham's Restaurant Serenade has been honored with the AAA Four Diamond Award and 2019 is no exception.

According to AAA, every year their experienced and independent inspectors visit and approve more than 27,000 hotels and 32,000 restaurants across North America. Only 1,722 hotel properties, 6.3 percent, and 656 restaurants, 2.1 percent, receive the Four Diamond award.

“The Four Diamond ratings are impressive accomplishments that recognize the finest in lodging and dining in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean,” said Robert Sinclair Jr., Manager of Media Relations for AAA Northeast. “Four Diamond hotels offer a high degree of service, hospitality and attention to detail, while Four Diamond restaurants feature luxurious fine dining and excellent service.”

The 10 northern New Jersey Four Diamond recipients are:

Hotels

• Archer Hotel (Florham Park) – 2018
• W Hoboken (Hoboken) – 2011
• Westin Jersey City Newport (Jersey City) – 2010
• Westminster Hotel (Livingston) – 2004
• The Hilton Short Hills (Short Hills) – 2003
• Teaneck Marriot at Glenpointe (Teaneck) – 2017

Restaurants

• LuNello (Cedar Grove) – 2014
• Restaurant Serenade (Chatham) –1999
• The Manor (West Orange) – 1988
• Il Capriccio (Whippany) – 1994

The recipients will be honored by AAA at luncheon this April. For more than 80 years, AAA has used professional inspectors to conduct in-person property evaluations. AAA offers the only rating system using comprehensive, on-site professional hotel and restaurant evaluations guided by AAA member priorities.
