Chatham Teen Receives Scholarship for Being Outstanding Student-Athlete

Jared Ahsler among 200 students from the state to be honored at annual event.

A Chatham teen and student at Delbarton School in Morristown received a scholarship from a Parsippany business thanks to his prowess in and out of the classroom.

Jared Ahsler received a scholarship from SCG (Success Communications Group) at a luncheon sponsored by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The NJSIAA awarded scholarships to approximately 200 students across the state’s 21 counties.

“We enjoy sponsoring this annual scholarship to recognize students who successfully balance athletics and academics,” said Michael Cherenson, APR, executive vice president of SCG in a statement. “We wish the best to Jared and all other students honored at this event.”
